THIS POSITON IS FOR WFISD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLYStudent Video Worker/TemporaryREPORTS TO: Multimedia SpecialistPRIMARY PURPOSE: Work with the video production team in the streaming and video board operation of varsity games at Memorial Stadium, Legacy HS & Memorial HS.QUALIFICATIONS:Education/certification:High School StudentMust be at least 16 years oldSpecial Knowledge and Skills:Able to work Tuesdays & Fridays during the school yearNot to interfere with school requirementsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with or interest in video productionFamiliarity or interest in sportsWillingness to learn broadcast equipmentWillingness to learn camera shot selectionsFingerprinting/Background Check/Physical:Pass a class 1 background checkFingerprintingMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Excellent listening and verbal skillsOperate cameras for varsity sporting events within the districtOperate video switcher for varsity sporting events within the districtCare for and maintain the proper use of video equipmentWork home games on nights and weekends (mostly Tuesdays & Fridays)Setup & breakdown of broadcast equipment before and after games.Regular Attendance.Other duties as assigned.EQUIPMENT USED: Broadcast cameras, tripods, video switchers, computersWORKING CONDITIONS:Mental Demands:Maintain professional conduct, especially in stressful situationsMaintain focus in sometimes chaotic situationsPhysical Demands/Environmental Factors:Working outside in potentially extreme weather conditionsLong periods of standingAble to climb a lot of stairsPay Grade: $10/hrThe foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.
