Job Description:
OPPORTUNITY SUMMARYThe Outreach Assistant supports the Office of Student Work & Service Programs with onboarding and outreach tasks related to Federal Work Study placement and the Earn and Learn work-scholarship programs. The position will also entail phone and email outreach, collection and accurate entry of data, along with providing support for events and department activities.SHIFTS
  • Must have flexible Monday to Friday, two 3hr shifts a week, between 2pm to 5pm. Some AM Saturdays when we have Admissions events.
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain knowledge of the Federal Work Study and Earn & Learn programs to provide information during student inquiries.
  • Assist with onboarding tasks, such as follow up with students with incomplete tasks and timeclock registration.
  • Utilization of our work program systems for reporting and data entry.
  • Utilizing phone, email, and in-person outreach to share tasks needed to maintain program eligibility.
  • Assist with outreach to students in the Bachelor's Earn & Learn Orientation
  • Assist in program outreach with current/prospective students at recruitment/admissions events
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES
  • Minimum three month of customer service/receptionist in a retail or office setting.
  • Completed one semester as an administrative/office assistant in the Earn & Learn or Federal Work Study Program.
PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
  • Experience in guest-facing, sales, and/or data entry roles preferred
  • Orientation/Mentor experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and be meticulous with data entry
  • Comfort with utilizing MS Excel, PPT, and One Drive

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and adhering to standards of operational excellence, safety, efficiency and educational goals set by the CIA.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, students, and faculty/staff.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends and ability to work in person or virtually using Microsoft Teams.
