Desired Length of Employment: Fall 2024 / Spring 2025Pay Rate: $12.00 - $16.00Job Description: AfterSchool Academy Math Tutors will be responsible for tutoring 2-4 students (3rd-5th grade) who are participating in the Transformation Waco AfterSchool Academy Program. Responsibilities include meeting with supervisor to review and prepare tutoring materials, tutoring 2-4 elementary students in grade appropriate math, coordinating and working with other tutors and volunteers, documenting results of tutoring sessions, discussing strategies and results of tutoring with supervisor in order to maximize student progress. Experience working with elementary age children, especially at-risk children a plus, but not required. Hours available M-F, 3:15 PM - 6:15 PM. Days of the week flexible. You will need to arrange your own dependable transportation to and from the elementary school. All applicants must be Federal Work Study (FWS) Eligible.
- Provide support and assistance in a respective area of community service
- Assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community service
- Provide excellent customer service to constituents
- Utilize available resources to perform duties accordingly
- Serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
- Must be federal work study eligible
- Ability to comply with University policies
