Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Data, Media & Design - College Leader. The student worker will support the development and implementation of Nevada State's Breathe With Ease campaign.

Core Responsibilities:
* Update Breathe With Ease Project Leaders on progress of assigned tasks.
* Support Breathe With Ease with developing, planning, organizing and writing event deliverables; including a high level campus-wide event to educate and engage the community.
* Support development, planning, and implementation of Breathe With Ease Cessation Support Group.
* Gathering and analyzing stakeholder perspectives, behaviors and attitudes to inform campaign implementation.
* Representing students in the Breath with Ease task force through the adoption and implementation of a Smoke-free, Tobacco-free policy.
* Presenting and advocating about Breathe With Ease to Nevada State faculty, staff, students, and campaign stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
* Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
* Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
* Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with university faculty and staff, students, and the general public.
* Good writing skills.
* Demonstrated interest and/or lived experience with any of the following:
* Participation in a broad representation taskforce.
* Policy development.
* Assessment of behaviors or attitudes through surveys or other tools.
* Education and engagement of personnel.
* Tobacco treatment or tobacco cessation groups.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience designing materials.
* Bilingual in Spanish to develop and revise bilingual material.
* Interest in the impacts of tobacco and vape products in relation with social justice, physical health, mental health, and in the environment.
* Demonstrated interest or lived experience in a leadership position.
Work Hours:
This position will work 3-5 hours per week. Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week.
Hourly Rate:
$14.00 per hour.
