The SAU IT department is seeking motivated students to join our Helpdesk team. Our goal is to provide exceptional technical support and customer service to the Spring Arbor University community. As a Helpdesk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff experiencing technical issues, ensuring swift and effective resolutions. This role is crucial to maintaining the university's IT infrastructure and supporting a smooth academic and administrative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of university computers,printers, and other peripheral devices.
Manage and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Educate users on best practices for using technology safely and effectively.
Contribute to the development of support documentation and training materials.
