Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Hours may vary from week to week based on building schedule.Desired Length of Employment: Summer/Fall/SpringPay Rate: $9Job Description:The Hurd Welcome Center Student Assistant is responsible for assisting with the overall day-to-day oversight of the Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center. The Student Assistant will report to the Facilities Manager.Responsibilities include: Performs general duties for the Facilities Manager and the A/V Tech as requested, Performs general office duties such as field phone calls, making copies and filing, Prepares and checks event spaces to ensure that setups and quality are up to standards, Serves as an information attendant while always presenting a positive image for Baylor University, and is attentive when responding to customer questions or concerns, Dependable and reports to work on time, Able to think critically, work independently w/limited supervision, and has initiative to generate and complete tasks, Follows Baylor University policies and procedures, Able to use both hands, sits, lifts/carries/pushes/pulls (moderate weight), and is able to be on their feet for long periods of time, Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum qualifications: Current full-time student enrolled in Baylor University, Strong personal, organizational, motivational, communication, writing, and computer skills, Able to work independently with excellent organizational and time management skills, Highly motivated and passionate about Baylor University andit's mission.
