Job DescriptionJob Title: Student Worker - Professional Education AssistantJob Classification: Technical/Office Support, StudentDepartment: Professional EducationHiring Manager: Denise EvansContact: ...@baylor.eduWork Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week (between the hours of Mon-Fri 8-5)Desired Length of Employment: Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025, ongoing - rehire will be determined at each semesterPay Rate: $9.00Job Description:Professional Education is looking for a dependable student(s) to assist with completing market research; reviewing program data to provide support for reporting; maintaining department Box records; data entry tasks; providing online customer service for Extended Learning students, including monitoring the Extended Learning inbox, course registration assistance, managing phone inquiries, verification of course completions, and course certificate distribution. We are looking for the following:
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with AP style a plus.
  • Communicate accurate information concerning services.
  • Work with multiple project assigners within the department to assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to marketing, customer service, research, and enrollment.
  • Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to comply with university policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Exhibit courteous and professional interactions with team members and guests.
Other duties:
  • Filing, copying, data entry, running errands across campus.
  • Strong desire to learn and contribute to the successful operation of Professional Education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, dependability, self-motivated and very detail oriented a must.Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
