Key responsibilities for this role include:

* Support initiatives within the Research and Development Chemistry laboratory.

* Operate laboratory equipment including, but not limited to, analytical balance, pH meter, dissolution apparatus, UV spectrophotometer, and chromatographic systems (e.g., HPLC, GC) under the direction of a supervisor.

* Prepare solutions (i.e., buffers, mobile phases, diluents) and samples as per procedures.

* Calculate raw data by calculator or computer.

* Assist in the calibration and record keeping of laboratory equipment.

* Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory.

* Assist the stability management team as needed.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

* The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their sophomore year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a science-based degree program (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred). A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

* Must possess a basic knowledge of math and chemistry. Must be able to understand and adhere to government regulations and company and departmental policies and procedures.

* Must be able to work with complex laboratory equipment, chemicals, and fragile glassware. Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks successfully. Must possess basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* Ability to read and interpret general business documents.

* Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates. Ability to interpret graphs and data sets.

* Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.

* Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking, or stooping. May be required to bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Light lifting requirements.

* Normal chemical laboratory and office situation.
