This position will begin Spring 2025. The deadline to apply is December 13th.The Social Media and Communications Assistant will: - Post relevant and interesting content to UWC social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) 2-4 times per week - Coordinate with other UWC student staff members to create relevant and interesting blog posts to be posted once per month to the UWC's blog - Write and design digital and print-based materials (flyers, brochures, videos, photos, graphic designs, web copy) that will be used to market the UWC - Develop and implement appropriate marketing strategies to engage the UWC audience - Interview UWC staff (office assistants, consultants, and professional staff) to profile on our social media sites - Generate new ideas for how to improve the social media sites and original content - Respond to digital comments, tweets, and messages - Use social media analytics to note trends and improve quality of posts - Meet weekly with UWC supervisor to workshop marketing materials - Communicate regularly with UWC supervisorQualifications and Experience: - Excellent writing abilities and research skills - Strong document design skills and experience with Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, or a similar program - Experience interviewing and writing profiles - Strategic, creative user of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok for marketing purposes - Creative, detail-oriented, and professional - Self-motivated, hardworking, and dependable - Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and collaborative skills - Openness to learning - Experience with video/audio editing and/or photography is a bonusPlease upload ALL of the following documents with your application: - A brief cover letter explaining your interest in the position, your qualifications, and your knowledge, skills, and experiences relevant to the position - A current resume - A document that showcases your design abilities
