Position Type: Community Education/Student WorkerDate Posted: 9/5/2024Location: Community EducationDate Available: ASAPClosing Date: Until FilledDescription: Under the direction of the Auditorium Manager and guidance via Technical Theatre Specialist, the Student Worker Technician works to assist community rentals and school district staff with audio/ visual technical aspects of ISD728 stadiums, gyms, and theatres. This position will be filled by our current high school student technicians as they are recommended by the Technical Theatre Specialist staff. Job Summary: 1. Operate, adjust and assist with the connection of various A/V devices and audio equipment. 2. Operate, maintain, utilize and assist with the usage of the production systems available within the facility. 3. Videotaping/live streaming events as needed. Including, but not limited to school events across the district, district events, and outside organizations. 4. Provide outstanding customer service and develop working relationships with event coordinators. 5. Troubleshoot, clean, maintain and store equipment and report any damages to manager. The ISD728 Student Worker Technician must be willing to learn, follow and assist in enforcing directions and procedures and ALL District Facility Policies as well as Auditorium Procedures enforcing safety when working with other users and guests in the facility. Qualifications: 1. Computer skills - working with various computer technology is a necessity. 2. Troubleshooting - troubleshoot all equipment issues in a timely manner. Successful technicians have a strong desire to self-educate/research, and strive to exceed guest expectations. 3. Physical fitness - it is common for technicians to lift up to 50 pounds individually. Furthermore, standing, walking, climing ladders, and navigating tight spaces is a common requirement. 4. Customer service - Interfacing with customers and guests on-site to make sure their event needs are met and that equipment is functioning is a major responsibility. 5. Organizational skills - being organized, focused and a dedication to timeliness is a requirement due to the tools, wiring, cables and parts that they must methodically sort and install.
