Peer Tutoring and Supplemental Support - The Department of Undergraduate Studies & Student Success (UGSS) is seeking applications for Peer Tutors and Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders to assist and coach IUP students in becoming more successful and independent learners. Peer Tutors and SI Leaders provide and help to integrate effective learning and study strategies for their assigned students, while at the same time help to clarify and/or reinforce course content, assignments and material. Position Qualifications REQUIRED:Peer tutors and SI Leaders are selected on the basis of academic skill, leadership, character, and the ability to communicate well with others. Tutors are expected to have extensive knowledge of the subject they are hired to tutor and the ability to communicate that knowledge to their peers. We expect that peer tutors will have a positive perspective of IUP.
