Degree: $23.76 - $26.23 per hour (pending previous experience in same/like position).Additional Job Information MINIMUM TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent A minimum of 1 (one) year of successful clerical experience Proficient in the use of computers to include spreadsheet, database and word processing applications Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment Ability to communicate effectively by oral and written means Ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Identifies concerns and seeks assistance from higher level personnel or management so that the study hall room can be an efficient and effective assignment for students. 2. Coordinates, provides and supervises instructional and behavioral activities for students assigned to study hall. 3. Coordinates assignments and activities with classroom teachers when appropriate; provides tutorial assistance as needed and monitors students' class work while in study hall. 4. Assists students in assessing instructional assignments and developing strategies to managing time to complete assignments. 5. Works with other school personnel to assist students in the development of techniques to foster efficient study habits. 6. Assigns and oversees special assignments related to the students? instructional goals. 7. Maintains accurate and up-to-date student records as required. 8. Communicates with teachers and administrators regarding students' assignments and seeks appropriate instructional plans while supervising students. 9. Attends training and workshops as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills. 10. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints in areas of responsibility. 11. Performs routine administrative/office tasks as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, sending and receiving faxes and e-mails, entering and retrieving computer data. 12. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. 14. Ability to move around well enough to perform the duties of the position safely. 15. Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities: The study hall monitor will collaborate with the school principal and administrative team on supervisory expectations of students on the study hall roster. The Study Hall Monitor maintains a forty-hour (40) workweek and is evaluated based on the guidelines set by Human Resources. This is 10 month position. FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
