JOB DESCRIPTIONSub-Assembly Technician10/11/2024Position Type/Hours:Full-time position. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Position Profile:This position is responsible for mounting, assembly, and running of pneumatic components and lines. Essential Functions:
- Assemble parts and components into sub-assemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, or technical specifications
- Use various hand tools, power tools, and equipment to assemble parts (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.)
- Inspect parts and assemblies for accuracy, defects, and adherence to quality standards
- Modify parts when necessary
- Provide documentation of changes made to assemblies
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment when necessary
- Work closely with other assembly technicians, production teams, and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical assembly processes
- Experience with tools and machinery used in assembly is preferred
- Ability to read pneumatic prints and understand pneumatic theory
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and machine layouts
- Experience in navigating Microsoft and/or industry specific software

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
