Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Submission Specialist to join our team in the financial services industry. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing funding submissions from businesses seeking financial support. Your expertise in data analysis and financial assessment will help us make informed decisions, streamline our submission processes, and ensure a high level of service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Evaluation:

  • Review and assess funding submissions, including financial statements, business plans, credit ratings, and revenue projections.
  • Analyze data to determine the viability and risk associated with each submission.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments based on financial metrics, industry trends, and borrower profiles.
  • Identify potential red flags and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Data Analysis and Integrity:

  • Gather, interpret, and synthesize financial and operational data to support evaluation processes.
  • Create detailed reports summarizing insights and recommendations based on submission analyses.
  • Input and maintain accurate data inside of our Salesforce CRM.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and underwriting, to gather necessary information and clarify submission requirements.
  • Communicate findings and decisions to applicants clearly and professionally, ensuring transparency throughout the process.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for enhancing submission evaluation workflows and recommend best practices.
  • Assist in developing and refining submission guidelines and evaluation criteria to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Constantly improve time to funding on files.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all submissions comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Maintain thorough records of evaluations, decisions, and communications related to each submission.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting revenue-based funding.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance analytical and industry-specific skills.

Submission Ownership:

  • Create compelling files and present to funders. Work with funders to fight for offers on the files created.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis, underwriting, or a similar role, preferably in the funding or lending industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, financial modeling tools).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM platform
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $50,000
  • Performance Bonuses: $10,000
  • Total Compensation: $60,000+ Benefits
