We are currently seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Springer Correctional Center located in Springer, New Mexico. The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for coordinating all substance abuse/addiction program activities in a correctional setting. This includes providing intake, assessment, treatment planning, and group and individual counseling.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- License Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW), Licensed Alcohol & Drug Addiction Counselor (LADAC) or Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA).
- Minimum of two years' experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
