We are a growing agency and are looking for individuals who want to be a part of our team to provide outpatient counseling/mental health services to the community.Youth For Tomorrow is looking for a licensed substance abuse counselor to provide outpatient services to adolescents and adults in our Woodbridge office. This is a full time position with benefits that requires the individual to be licensed in the state of Virginia as an LPC or LCSW with a CSAC credential. This position can also include supervision for the CSAC credential for the right candidate.Therapist will carry a split case load of adolescents and adults needing Substance Abuse Services at the ASAM 1.0 level of care in addition to outpatient behavioral health counseling.Competitive Northern Virginia salary commensurate with experience and credentials, please inquire.This is a hybrid position with three days in the office for face-to-face sessions and two days remote for telehealth sessions. We work Monday through Friday and this includes three late nights until 7pm. Our clinicians conduct 25 sessions a week. Our office in Woodbridge has a well-established team of therapists with strong community support.In our outpatient behavioral health program, we serve ages 5 to adult in the safety net. We provide services to uninsured and under insured populations, accept most private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. YFT provides outpatient behavioral health services in Northern Virginia through a hybrid model of in-person and tele-health sessions. We have offices in Loudoun, Fauquier, Fairfax and four offices in Prince William County. YFT holds one of the highest level of accreditation among behavioral health care clinical programs, being awarded national accreditation from The Joint Commission. YFT's behavioral health services also are accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).Qualifications
- Certified by the Board of Counselors under the Commonwealth of Virginia and Department of Health Professions.
- Licensed to provide Mental Health Services in VA.
- Has experience or credentials or eligible for credentials in providing Substance Abuse Treatment Services
- Knowledge of drug policy and drug screening techniques and the ASAM Assessment Criteria.
- Possess skills and abilities to assess treatment needs and deliver appropriate interventions.
- Ability to communicate with participants, parents/guardian, and staff.
- Decision making ability
- Adapts to changes while remaining focused on goals, applies knowledge to new circumstances and is flexible with schedule to include evenings for sessions or group.
