We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team, providing strategic leadership and overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the facility. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of healthcare management, and an understanding of substance abuse treatment. Position: AdministratorLocation: On-Site Malibu, California.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of assigned departments, providing consistent, objective feedback and guidance to ensure optimal performance
  • Manage the daily administrative and operational functions of the facility, maintaining efficiency and high standards of care
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory agencies and quality assurance organizations
  • Take part in the candidate identification and interview process for staffing needs
  • Promote, support, and be able to articulate company philosophy to staff
  • Provide staff training and in-service training as needed
  • Ensure strong resident relations by meeting with residents on a regular basis
  • Intervene with, de-escalate, and assist clients as needed (crisis intervention, special needs, etc., enforces behavioral expectations
  • Ensure staff adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements
  • Ensure the presence of a sufficient number of qualified and competent staff to provide treatment and other services
  • Assists senior management with budget planning, monitoring expenses, and analyzing financial reports
  • Work with Compliance Manager to ensure legal, regulatory, and policy compliance
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients regarding admissions, discharges, step downs, behavioral expectations, and follow up care
  • Participates in the development and oversees achievement of facility goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, company policy, and privacy laws
  • Maintain current, thorough knowledge of trends and developments in the field of substance abuse treatment
  • Ensure facility or equipment needs are adequately addressed and delegate maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with upper management to ensure client, staff and facility needs are met
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and develop plans to address any compliance deficiencies, if any
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualification Guidelines:Education / Experience / Credentials:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or equivalent required, Master's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of five years management experience in a behavioral health and/or substance abuse treatment setting required
  • Experience dealing with clients and documentation in a hospital and/or mental healthcare facility Required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Experience with DHCS, Joint Commission, CARF and other regulatory compliance preferred
  • Current CPR/1st Aid certification required
  • Current, valid California Driver License with good driving record (in sole discretion of company) required

  • Must be flexible in work hours to meet facility needs

  • Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations, such as when verbally or physically confronted
  • Must be able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients and maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients during treatment and after discharge
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and lead staff
Physical Demands:
  • Normal demands associated with an office and residential environment
  • Frequently stand, walk, and sit
  • Frequently reach above, at, or below waist height
  • Frequently kneel, bend, stoop, turn, and twist
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 10lbs., occasionally 20-50lbs
  • Ability to work using a computer for extended periods of time
  • Ability to recognize faces
  • Ability to distinguish colors as necessary
  • Ability to hear sufficiently and speak clearly on the telephone, in person, and in the environment, identify and distinguish sounds associated with the workplace
  • Ability to see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position

  • This position requires local travel to other company locations.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • Must satisfy post-offer, pre-employment conditions such as tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter), background check (including criminal and driving record check), drug screening, reference check. Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with law and company policy.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet 24/7/365 healthcare facility needs
