?Job Description:
1. Individual Evaluation and Assessment: Provides psychiatric assessment of individuals. Based on evaluation, makes appropriatereferrals (both interoffice and interagency). Serves the best interests of patient and exercises independent professional judgmentwhen rendering care.2. Treatment Planning: Develops and implements treatment plans for patients and families.3. Counseling: Provides individual, group, and/or family therapy to reach therapeutic goals.4. Documentation of Services: Maintains ongoing documentation of patient interventions. Documentation must be completed within 24-hours of the service date. This includes documentation of initial psychiatric assessment, treatment plans, and therapy sessions, as well as any other patient interaction, including phone calls. Cooperates with audits of patient charts conducted toensure compliance with all coding and documentation requirements and any compliance education reasonably required by the Director of Substance Use Services.5. Liaison Functions: Represents the practice in the community. Participates in marketing, education, and other activities to promote and enhance the public image of Elliot Health System.6. Quality Improvement Activities: Attends and provides input in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance projects as deemed necessary by the Director of Substance Use Services. Such Quality Improvement activities will include activities related to enhancing and maintaining patient satisfaction.7. Supervision/Collaboration: Participates in ongoing peer supervision and collaboration so as to maintain licensure; receives clinical input from peers. General oversight and clinical supervision will also be provided by the PHP NP and Director of Substance Use Services.8. Education: Participates in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs, support, and services offered by Elliot SUD Services. This will include providing consultation and/or supervision to student interns.9. Compliance: Follows up with patients within twenty-four hours regarding last minute cancellations and no-show appointments in a collaborative effort to maintain compliance. Documents telephone conversations in the Elliot's medical record system.10. Policies and Procedures: Adheres to all Elliot Health System Departmental Policies 10. and Procedures.11. Credentialing: Submits credentialing and re-credentialing information to Medical Staff Affairs and Credentialing Specialist within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt of applications.12. Other Duties: Participates in appropriate role in disaster drills and other emergency situations, community events, committees, and other related activities as requested. Provides a minimum of one (1) evening per week for patient contact hours to assure adequate patient access to care. Utilizes centralized scheduling as a front desk function. Participates in intake and assessmentprocess. Accepts patients as assigned and responds to intake requests in a timely manner.
