Job Description:

The J. Turner Hood Elementary School is seeking interested applicants to serve as a building based substitute. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential. The successful candidate will report to the assigned school four (4) days per week to support student learning. Responsibilities

  • Support students and staff during the school day
  • Guide student learning through provided lesson plans and/or classroom support
  • Other needs as requested by the Building Principal
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree or two years of college education is preferred
  • Licensure with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) preferred
  • Work with youth, teaching, and/or in an education setting preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
This is a temporary, part-time position and not eligible for additional benefits at this time.
