Substitute Campus Security application screenings will be ongoing (as needed) throughout the year.

Maximum shift length is 8.0 hours

Anticipated location: Kingston High School

~This is not an actual job opening - your application indicates your interest in substituting as Campus Security for North Kitsap School District.

~ By completing this area, you will NOT automatically be considered for any regular hire openings. It will be up to you to monitor our website and submit your application for positions that you areinterested in as they occur.

IMPORTANT:

* Current substitutes must submit an application for this position to be considered.

* Substitutes who do not accept any jobs within a 90-day calendar period (excluding summer break) without providing advance notice via email or voicemail will be removed from the substitute list and moved to INACTIVE status. Anyone who has been removed from the substitute list for this reason and then wishes to work for NKSD again must apply via Fast Track, attend orientation and complete required online training. Background checks will be conducted.

* Regular employees who have separated from service and wish to substitute for North Kitsap School District must apply via Fast Track, complete required online courses and attend orientation. If separation from service is less than 90 days prior, online course completion and orientation attendance might not be required. Background checks will be conducted.

* All new substitutes will be paid for training (minimum wage) after completing the mandatory online courses, attending onsite training and completing all required paperwork. Time spent completing hiring paperwork will not be compensated.

* Substitutes who drop more than one job in a four-week period will be subject to review of their work records with North Kitsap School District. This could result in being removed from the substitute list. A job is considered dropped if a substitute declines it (after having accepted it) less than 36 hours prior to the job start and does not provide notice via email or voicemail.

Conditions of Employment

Benefits

Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours an employee is anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 - August 31). This position is NOT anticipated to meet the requirement of 630 hours of employment in a school/fiscal year to qualify for benefits.
