Job SummaryFor the 2023-24 School Year: Certificated substitute teachers who serve 30 consecutive days in the same classroom assignment will be placed on Step 1, Column 1 of the Certificated Salary Schedule beginning on Day 31. Daily Rate is $225 per day or $112.50 half-day. The San Benito County Office of Education is seeking guest teachers to be on call as needed to cover certificated personnel absences. Guest teachers will need to be willing to work in person. Our programs include Santa Ana Opportunity School, San Andreas Continuation High School, San Benito County Juvenile Court School, Pinnacles Community School, Early Childhood Special Education Center and Special Education Services.Requirements / QualificationsCertificated Application 30 Day Substitute Permit, TPSL or CA Teaching Credential All selected candidates will need to undergo a DOJ fingerprint background check prior to hire.If you do not have a 30 day substitute permit, we can assist you with obtaining one. This process will require you to meet CTC fingerprint requirements, provide official transcripts conferring a Bachelor's degree or higher.
