Under the immediate direction of a classroom teacher, asists in the preparation and delivery of instructional materials; assist and tutors pupils individually and in small groups.Requirements / QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: Must have high school diploma or the equivalent. Must have passed the County Aide Proficiency test or possess an A.A. degree or higher, have 2 years of college (48 units). Must meet all requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. Must have passed the County Aide Proficiency test or possessed an A.A. degree or higher (48 units) and provide documentation. Two current (past 2 years) letters of recommendation related to employment Proof of TB clearance. Ability to attend to students with special needs, including washing, toileting, and related needs. Demonstrated ability to work independently with students in an effective manner.
