Currently, regular substitutes are needed for the following positions: Teachers; Paraprofessionals/Aides; Food Service Workers; Food Service - Warehouse/Freight Workers; Buildings and Grounds Custodians. For those interested in becoming substitutes:
- Fill out an online application,
- Provide 3 references,
- Complete a fingerprint card with Valdez Police Department (COST IS $10.00)
- Please call VPD at 907-###-#### to schedule your appointment
- Bring your Fingerprint card to the district office at 1112 W. Klutina Street, behind Hermon Hutchens Elementary School to Samantha Burke.
Once these items have been completed, and the background check has returned from the state, your application will be routed through the principals and/or directors for the positions you wish to substitute for. You will be notified once you are hired as a substitute or the reason why you have not, in writing.
