The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to add to the substitute/limited-term pool Health Services Technician for the Outdoor Education Program.
Under generalsupervision, the Health Services Technician performs a variety of health care services involved in administering first aid, dispensing medications, and providing first aid and emergency care to students and staff; provides supplementary office support for all functional areas.
A combination of training and experience is sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities described in the job description. Qualifying experience typically includes a minimum of six months of experience providing direct health care services or emergency medical assistance.

* Current First Aid Certificate AND CPR Certification (certified by either American Red Cross/American Heart Association ); OR,
* First Responder Certificate; OR,

It is important to note to become a substitute/limited-term employee, there will be a fingerprinting requirement that currently costs $77 (this is an up-front, out-of-pocket cost that must be paid in the form of a money order or cashier's check). In addition, if you apply and are selected for a permanent position at any point there would be an additional $77 cost (currently) for fingerprinting as a permanent employee (taken out of your first regular paycheck).
