Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Maintenance General Date Posted: 3/7/2024 Location: Edwin O. Smith High School MAINTAINER - FIRST & SECOND SHIFT Monday-Friday As Needed Flexible schedule based on the needs of the school. Candidates should have the flexibility to work day or afternoon shifts including weekends, all applicants must have a valid State of Connecticut driver's license and reliable transportation. Having experience in building, maintenance, cleaning sidewalk snow removal and managing tasks in a school environment. General Skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and assemble furniture Etc. experience is a plus. Candidates must have the ability to complete tasks through verbal and/or written instructions and must behave in a responsible courteous manner when relating to students, staff and the public. Ability to lift and carry objects of 25 - 50 lbs., be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, have a high school diploma, have general maintenance and/or cleaning experience preferably in an educational setting and can successfully pass a back-ground check, physical, alcohol and drug screening. Fingerprints are required at time of hire.
