POSITION:
Substitute School Nurse
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Provides preventive health services to facilitate the students' optimal physical, mental, emotional, and social growth and development. Supports the education process by working to assure the health of the students.

Minimum Requirements
Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of IndianaCertified in CPR or BLS (or obtain in the first 6 months)Demonstrate a continuing sense of God's direction in working at Traders Point Christian SchoolsAbide by decisions of the Board of Directors and administration of Traders Point Christian SchoolsMaintain ministry partnershipAgree to and sign the Traders Point Christian Schools Statement of FaithPreferred, but not required:
B.S.N. or Registered Nurse license with a bachelor's degree in a related disciplineMinimum of one (1) year experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health nursing or pediatric nursing, or minimum of five (5) years of experience in another field of nursingDemonstrated Knowledge
Principles and practices underlying professional nursingPrinciples and practices underlying the special field of school healthCurrent trends in nursing and of literature in the fields of school healthOrganization and administration of other cooperating agenciesState and local laws relating to health and social issuesDemonstrated Abilities
Participate cooperatively in a program of school health nursingExercise professional judgment in making decisionsCommunicate appropriately and effectively with students, parents, administrators, other school personnel and healthcare providersDemonstrate a genuine interest in the student population and its health needsOrganize a clinic and manage timeBe a self-starter and/or self-motivatedProficient in Google Drive and able to work with various software applications_ Qualifying Characteristics:_
The Substitute Nurse has a clear biblical testimony of salvation with an authentic and a mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both their professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian education. The ideal Substitute Nurse must have the desire to work closely and nurture a positive relationship with students, teachers, parents, staff, school administrators, and community members. The Substitute Nurse must demonstrate respect for all students and community members. The ability to exercise good judgment, set a good example, and comply with school standards is a must as well as the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues in a tactful and professional manner.

Work Schedule: Academic Year
Hourly rate: $15.00/hour
