Position Type: Substitute/Substitute Nurse Date Posted: 9/28/2023 Location: District Office & Support Services Date Available: Immediate Closing Date: Ongoing The Substitute Nurse will assist and accompany students during the school day as needed. Days and hours of work will vary depending on needs. $26.50/hr for the 2023/2024 school year. Position Summary: The Substitute Nurse will assist and accompany students during the school day as needed. The Substitute Nurse will assist in the absence of the School Nurse by carrying out assigned duties that support the operation of the Health Room and/or on field trips and other educational activities requiring Health supervision. Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Certification:

Valid CPR Certification

Valid First Aid Certification

License: Valid Registered Nurse endorsement preferred as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or evidence of working toward licensure and equivalent experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to understand and comply with confidentiality protocol.

Ability to build and maintain working relationships, positive rapport, and effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents.

Ability to organize and plan effectively.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Knowledge of current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania nursing standards.

Ability to utilize current software/technology packages and related equipment.
