If this is what you are called to do then consider joining us as we have immediate openings for on-call Preschool Substitute Teachers!The primary functions are to be responsible for the management of the classroom on an on-call basis in accordance with the ministry of Valley Christian Preschool. Principal duties of the teacher include:
- Take direction from the Preschool Director
- Implement the school curriculum
- Carry out developmentally appropriate child development activities on a daily basis
- Lead aide/s assigned to assist in the classroom
- Ensure the safety and physical well being of the children
- Teachers shall prayerfully help children learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development

- Willing to support the above in teaching and interacting with others in our preschool community
REQUIREMENTS:
- On-call availability or on-call availability on certain days of the week
- The teacher must meet or exceed the requirements of the State of California for training and experience in early childhood education.
- MUST be fully qualified by the State of California to teach in an early childhood program the teacher must have completed with passing grades at minimum twelve core early childhood education including and we prefer an additional four infant care units for a total of sixteen units from an accredited or approved college
- Units specified shall include courses that cover areas of child growth and development, or human growth and development; child, family and community; or child and family; early childhood education; and infant toddler curriculum.
- The teacher must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children, must be in good physical health verified by health screening, including a TB test, performed by physician
- Must have a criminal record clearance
- Must have a warm, supportive attitude toward children and their families
- Must be reliable
- Must be a team player
- Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to change in the program
- and must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance
- Teachers shall maintain a current First Aid and CPR card
