Qualified individuals are being sought to serve as substitute (guest) teachers when regular certificated staff are absent. The Guest Teacher - El Dorado County Retired Teacher posting is for individuals who have retired from El Dorado County and hold a valid Full California Credential. Applicants who have not retired or are not retired from El Dorado County and hold a valid Full California Credential or 30-Day Emergency Substitute Permit: Please apply through the posting for Substitute Teacher (Guest Teacher) - 2023/2024 (Full Credential/30-Day Emergency Permit Acquired). Applicants holding out-of-state credentials or those who need to apply for an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit: Please apply through the posting for Substitute Teacher (Guest Teacher) - 2023/2024 (30-Day Emergency Permit Assistance Needed).Essential Job functions: • Provides learning experiences and teaches the lessons of study prescribed by the classroom teacher or administrator. • Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity. • Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students. • Establishes and maintains standards of student control required to achieve effective participation in all activities. • Provides appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school/ District policies goals and objectives. • Follows school protocols and procedures. Special Additional Skills: Individuals working in programs for students with severe handicaps must have the ability to lift students ranging in weight from infants to young adults and demonstrate a willingness to assist with self-help skills as necessary.
