Position Type: K-12 Certified Teaching/SUBSTITUTE TEACHERDate Posted: 6/8/2023Location: DISTRICT WIDEDate Available: 08/15/2023Closing Date: Until filledJOB DESCRIPTION: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER Qualifications: (1) Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate; or (2) Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher (GPA does not matter); or (3) Have a minimum of 64 semester hours with 2.5 grade point average or grade point average of 3.0 on the last 60 hours of credit completed, including undergraduate and/or graduate work; or (4) Has demonstrated an ability to work and communicate effectively with students and staff Reports to: Principal Job Goal: To complete classroom instruction and extra duties in the absence of the regular teacher Performance Responsibilities: 1. Report to school office upon arrival 2. Review all plans and schedules to be followed during the day 3. Follow lesson plan as prepared by classroom teacher 4. Assume responsibility for supervising student behavior 5. Follow all policies, rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject 6. Checks and records student attendance 7. Maintains high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information 8. Monitors and reports school safety conditions to the building principal 9. Leave written report of the day's activities for the regular teacher at the end of the day 10. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by Principal Terms of Employment: As Needed; Daily Rate as approved annually by the Board of Education
