Job Description:
Short Description: Assisting in delivering youth programs, activities, and events, such as distributing program materials, tutoring members, etc., as directed by your supervisor.Assisting in supervising members in the program area and throughout the Club, as appropriate, to ensure member safety, report any disciplinary or other issues to your supervisor, etc.Assisting members with program rotations and lining up for transitions, mealtimes, and other events throughout the Club.Participating in collaborative programs and events with staff from other departments, Clubs, and community organizations, as directed by your supervisor.Securing and maintaining materials, equipment, and other resources in the program area; maintaining a safe and clean program space.Successlink Leaders provide additional support to Boston-based Clubs through the City of Boston's Successlink Grant.Successlink Leaders perform various functions within the Clubs, including but not limited to:
  • Assisting in delivering youth programs, activities, and events for teen programs.
  • Assisting in supervising and coaching onsite teen associates with
  • Administrative support for the teen associate program including document filing and data entry.
  • Securing and maintaining materials, equipment, and other resources for programs at various sites
  • Providing support to Clubs for Fun Friday activities and other activities as assigned
  • Other related duties as specified by your supervisor.
Position Requirements:
  • Complete BGCA-required training on topics including supervision of youth, recognizing child abuse, youth worker rights, behavioral expectations, social media, and internet safety.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
  • Experience and/or interest in working with youth is preferred.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Excel.
  • City of Boston resident (required).
  • Can work a maximum of 15 hours weekly.
  • Leaders must be between 19 and 24 years old as of October21, 2024
