Job Title: Summer 2025 Lab Intern - Industrial Agriculture & Process Industries (Ag/PI)
Summary: As a Lab Intern on our Ag/PI team, you will work on a project related to the testing of defoaming agents in the oil and gas segment. With an industrial background, you will be comparing and analyzing key differences between antifoaming agents focusing on their performance in industrial applications.
Responsibilities Include: - Defoaming Testing: Conduct thorough testing of Abingdon and Momentive antifoams to evaluate their effectiveness in controlling foam in various oil and gas and other Industrial processes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test results to determine the relative performance of each antifoam agent.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, including recommendations for optimal antifoam usage.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our team and new distributors to understand specific needs and applications.
Qualifications: The following are required for the role - Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, and experience with laboratory testing.
- Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Requirements - Understanding of industrial processes related to defoaming is a plus.
Program Requirements - The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
- The candidate is expected to be available to work in person 40 hours a week for 10-12 weeks between May and August.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, twist, turn, lift, and move about the facility. Walking, walking on irregular surfaces, and balancing will be required. Reaching, feeling, finger movement, grasping, hearing, sight, and the ability to speak clearly will be required. Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. The ability to wear personal protective equipment, and the ability to pass a fit test and wear a respirator is required for most positions. The environment for this position is a laboratory setting. What We Offer: Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
