We offer bilingual immersion programs in both Spanish and Mandarin, empowering students from Pre-K through eighth grade with a global perspective.Your Role: Summer Camp Counselor at Battery Park MontessoriAs a Preschool Summer Camp Counselor, you will play an essential role in providing a safe, fun, and enriching summer experience for our preschool-aged campers. Working in collaboration with the Auxiliary Director, you will help deliver a summer program that encourages learning, creativity, and growth. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about working with young children, are flexible in their approach, and thrive in a team environment. Our camp stands out as a trilingual program, serving children in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. Counselors with language proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin are highly encouraged to apply, as this will enhance the immersive environment for our campers.What We're Looking For* Passion for Children: You have a genuine love for working with young children, and you're confident in supporting their daily needs, from playtime to structured activities. Your language skills will help create a richer, immersive experience for our campers, strengthening their cultural understanding and communication abilities.Key Responsibilities* Supervision & Care: Ensure the safety and well-being of children throughout the camp day, assisting with daily routines such as bathrooming, meals, and nap times.* Activity Leadership: Plan and lead both indoor and outdoor activities that are designed to be fun, educational, and age-appropriate for preschool children.* Program Implementation: Help execute the daily schedule and keep children engaged, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.* Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow counselors to create an organized, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for campers and staff alike.* Camp Operations: Assist in preparing and organizing materials, supervising arrivals and departures, and ensuring smooth camp logistics.* Training: Participate in required pre-camp training (paid), ensuring you are well-prepared for the program.
