OverviewSeeking Full Time Summer Day Camp Counselors in CorningOur Full Time Seasonal opportunities offer paid sick timeSCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:The summer day camp was developed to provide a safe, drug-free environment for school age children during the summer months.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Represent the Salvation Army in accordance with the eastern territory employee manualSupervision of children in accordance with New York state health departmentImplementation, plan and supervision of those activities assigned by the summer day camp directorParticipate in swimming activitiesMonitor meals and teach appropriate table mannersImplementation of the summer day camp health plan, including daily health check, basic first aid, and familiarity with the emergency procedures (according to the summer day camp evacuation plan, personal level of CPR certification, and child s medical release form)Familiarity with summer day camp forms and the proper use of such forms (attendance sheets, incident/accident reports, medical logs, etc.)Behavior management for children under your careSubmission to the staff supervision policyMaintain cleanliness in areas designated for the childrenBe available and flexible to help in other areasComplete other duties as assigned by supervisorOther Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
