Camp Squanto
Camp Squanto is home to Mayflower Council's Scouting America summer resident camp. It is a 650 acre camping facility located deep in the woods of Myles Standish State forest in Plymouth, Massachusetts. For five weeks in the summer, our trained staff run a high quality, energetic, long-term camping experience for Scouting units and individuals.

General Responsibilities of Resident Camp Staff
- Maintain a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for our campers and visitors
- Set a good example by serving as a role model for campers
- Work collaboratively with other staff members in a variety of activities and programs
- Assists campers in activities and program as needed
- Participate in pre-camp training week
- Other duties as assigned to specific position or by camp management
- Perform duties consistent with with the Scout Oath and Law
- Be familiar with and follow BSA Youth Protection, Guide to Safe Scouting, and Sweet Sixteen of BSA Safety policies and guidelines
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age when camp starts. If hired, must register as a member of the Boy Scouts of America
- Applicants over age 18 must apply as an adult member and pass a criminal background check
- Submit a completed application
- Provide 3 references
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification recommended
- Some area director positions require National Camp School certifications, training assessed after hiring
