Job Title: Summer School Instructor - Physical Education (PE) (July 2024 - August 2024)

Description:Northside Charter High School is seeking an energetic and dedicated instructor to teach Physical Education (PE) during our summer school program from July 2024 to August 2024. The successful candidate will lead engaging and interactive PE classes that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among high school students. This position offers a unique opportunity for educators to inspire students to develop lifelong habits of health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes physical fitness and wellness.
* Plan and lead a variety of activities, exercises, and games that engage students and promote physical skill development.
* Provide instruction on proper techniques, safety guidelines, and sportsmanship principles in various physical activities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged and supported.
* Assess student performance and progress in physical skills and fitness levels through observation and evaluation.
* Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their physical abilities and achieve their fitness goals.
* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate health and wellness concepts into the broader school curriculum.
* Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and other stakeholders regarding student participation and progress in PE class.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Valid teaching certification in Physical Education (or eligibility for certification).
* Previous experience teaching PE at the high school level preferred.
* Strong knowledge of physical fitness principles, sports, and recreational activities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
