Job Type Part-time Description Mission The Mission of the Media Livestream Director is to assist the Media Manager with the responsibilities of the Sunday morning media ministry. This includes directing livestreams and working with both paid staff and volunteers. This position ensures quality video production for the church each Sunday morning. This non-exempt position is about 5 hours Sunday morning, reporting to the Media Manager. Essential Duties Livestream Director 1. Professional, high-quality operation of video equipment for church livestreams. 2. Execute proper placement and operation of various pieces of video and video related equipment. 3. Provides direction to paid staff and volunteers during Sunday livestreams. 4. Directs livestream team to ensure a cohesive mix of camera angles and graphic overlays. 5. Assist with Sunday morning set-ups related to additional cameras and other livestream specific equipment. 6. Check with media manager and or event lead, to make sure all video/visual needs are met. Equipment 7. Work to help keep all media equipment accounted for, operational, and organized; so it is easily accessible and ready for use. 8. Help to assess and troubleshoot problems with media equipment as they arise, and report to media manager. 9. Performs pre-event testing and maintenance checks, to eliminate difficulties with media equipment. 10. Assess equipment needs with the media manager; both present and future. Supervisory Responsibilities Leading camera operators and graphics operators, during Sunday morning livestreams. Requirements Education: •Bachelor's degree / media trade school equivalent preferred. Additional years of experience may be substituted in this area. Experience: •One to Two years' experience in directing livestream video. Talents: •Knowledge of live video and video production techniques. •Knowledge of livestreaming equipment, techniques, and procedures. •Knowledge of various video equipment, including Blackmagic and Canon equipment. •Knowledge of basic lighting techniques. •Detail oriented and organized. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Problem solving skills.
