DescriptionPurpose: Coordinates, organizes and directs as required functional transportation activities and communicates information to internal and external customers.Span of Control: Patient Safety CompanionsEssential ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operations within span of control, resolving problems as necessary, and ensuring that operations are efficient, compliant, safe, and of the highest possible quality.Respond to departmental requests to transport patients and assign staff to perform services in line with established priority basis and timeliness guidelines.Takes initiative to meet the needs of customers with available resources and pro-actively notify customers of problems that arise.Monitor transport activities to ensure movement from dispatch to in process, to completion is done in a timely manner.Assist all users with the transport function in Capacity Management.Schedules staff vacation and personal time off to ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement and policies.Trains staff to ensure patients are highly satisfied with their delivery through our transportation.Run reports in Capacity Management System and analyze data in conjunction with management.Promote a culture of safety by encouraging reporting safety concerns.Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives and productivity goals.Comply with all Nuvance Health and affiliate policies and ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulation.Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.Performs other duties as required.Education and Experience Requirements:· High School Diploma or equivalent.· Two (2) years supervisory experience.· One (1) year experience in customer service within a hospital or related field.· PREFER: Associates Degree in Health-related fields or Business AdministrationMinimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:· MS Excel.License, Registration, or Certification Requirements:· N/AWorking Conditions:Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterityOccupational: Some occupational riskPhysical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort.
