The right hard-working Superintendent is responsible for managing relationships with clients, internal team, subcontractors, and inspectors. A Superintendent needs to have excellent communication skills and be well respected by the subcontractor community. The Superintendent and the Project Manager must work together as a complementary team. Successful candidates will be able to share their passion for and dedication to getting the job done and confidently represent the firm, including committing the firm on schedule and cost matters within approved parameters.What You'll Do:Our new Superintendent will develop detailed project logistical plans and direct responsibility for developing and managing project specific safety plans. A day in the life of a Superintendent consists of coordinating material deliveries, developing project flow, and maintaining project master schedules and three-week forecasts. Superintendents ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and local building codes and possess strategic foresight to predict problems before they develop. - A minimum of 5 years of commercial general construction experience.
- 30-hour OSHA certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
- Proven organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, contract/insurance documents and forms, and make appropriate recommendations to field operations team.
- Negotiation skills with ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
