Position Overview: Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage field operations on commercial construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all on-site activities, ensuring that work progresses safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the project's scope, schedule, and budget. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all on-site activities for commercial construction projects, ensuring that work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction workers, ensuring adherence to project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the project manager, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless communication and execution of project plans.
  • Monitor project schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines and address any unforeseen challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies on all job sites, promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure all work meets specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project status, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation.
  • Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment, and manpower needs.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to design changes, scope modifications, or unforeseen conditions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Proven track record of managing commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors and workers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or similar tools) is a plus.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
