Our client are a reputable, family-owned General Contractor based in Fredericksburg, who are looking to hire an experienced Superintendent.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established, family-owned general contractor located in Virginia. With over 50 years of experience, they serve a diverse clientele, including the medical, finance, retail, multifamily, and municipal sectors, across the Greater Richmond and Central Virginia regions. Their projects generally range from $2M to $10M+ in value. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team for several upcoming projects in the Fredericksburg area.Description* Attending weekly subcontractor and owner/architect meetings.* Supervising daily construction activities and ensuring quality control of all subcontractors.* Monitoring site safety protocols.* Assisting with quality control oversight.* Assisting with field office document control.* Assisting in creating look-ahead schedules.* Coordinating field efforts between trades to achieve timely and profitable completion in strict accordance with contract documents, specifications, laws, and safety requirements.* Effectively communicating relevant project information to superiors.* Tracking manpower and completing daily reports.* Monitoring and tracking site deliveries.* Partnering with the Project Manager to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets the cost and time requirements of the project.* Verifying that all materials, equipment, and installations comply with approved submittals and contract documentsProfile* Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction* Proven ability to independently manage projects from inception to completion* Experience handling projects valued between $2M and $10M* Proficiency with Procore or similar project management software* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills* Strong organizational skillsJob Offer* Competitive base salary based on experience* Yearly discretionary bonus* Health and dental insurance coverage* Monthly car allowance* Company-provided phone and laptopMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
