Job DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our Healthcare Construction team. This challenging role is integral to our mission of delivering top-notch healthcare infrastructure, with a special focus on Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from conception to completion, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process for healthcare projects, particularly Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) facilities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure projects are executed successfully.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with AHCA regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage and supervise on-site construction teams; direct and lead workers and subcontractors.
  • Schedule and coordinate all design and construction processes to ensure a productive and efficient work site.
  • Review and adhere to all plans and specifications, implement design and functional enhancements, initiate and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and legal paperwork are in place before construction begins.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
  • Periodic inspection of construction sites to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the public, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare construction, specifically with Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AHCA regulations and guidelines.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the construction industry.
  • A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software programs.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of physics and mathematics.
  • Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures.
