The superintendent is also responsible for identifying and resolving conflict and ensuring efficient internal and external communication. Duties and Responsibilities
- Includes all duties and responsibilities of all positions leading to and including the foreman role.
- Responsible for all project safety, including fall protection, barricades, and other required safety systems per OSHA compliance and project and company standards.
- Works with the project manager to develop the construction plan, including schedule, equipment, material, and manpower, and maintain inventory to support the project schedule.
- Perform daily reports in a detailed, concise, and professional manner using both hard copy and preferred tracking app as required.
- Oversees total job site construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Establishes daily productivity goals reflective of the project budget and effectively manages production accordingly.
- Ensure accurate counts of all material on job sites through completion and updating the project manager as needed.
- Supervises subcontractors, foremen, and craftsmen to ensure projects are properly executed.
- Acts as a resource by mentoring, training, and developing personnel in all aspects of their careers.
- Responsible for managing field crew's schedule and verifying use of the time clock tool (ExakTime).
- Locates materials, equipment, and tools on and offsite and directs others to utilize such items to meet established production and quality goals.
- Show and direct others on properly maintaining all equipment and tools so that they are in safe and reliable working condition.
- Works with the project manager to maintain as-built drawings, incorporating all RFI's, supplemental drawings, and miscellaneous updates.
- Assist the project manager in attending preconstruction and progress meetings.
- Acts as the main liaison with clients' on-site field supervision.

- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/ job location(s).
- Provide personal gear such as steel-toe boots and hand tools like a box cutter.
- Commercial construction experience, particularly gypsum underlayments.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with airbrakes
- Chauffer's license
- Ability to successfully pass a background check related to driving.
- Continuous training and consistent experience in underlayments, leveling, and leadership.
- Ability to work nontypical days and hours on construction schedules.
- OSHA 30 or must successfully complete 30-hour OSHA certification within the agreed-upon timeframe.
- Ability to Pass DOT physical and maintain MDOT MED card within the agreed-upon timeframe.
- Proficient with commonly used construction equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials.
- First Aid & CPR: Must maintain current First Aid and CPR certification during employment.
- 5-7 years' experience in construction/concrete construction.
- Prior experience working in a high-performance, team-oriented environment.

This position requires long periods of standing and should be able to lift 80 pounds.Position type and expected hours of work.This is a full-time field position. Typical hours will range from 45 to 50 per week and are subject to change. This role requires working nontypical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during nontypical workdays and hours is also necessary.TravelThis position requires travel to the company's shop and will commute to the job site with other employees.Office Location311 London Rd.
