Why We Need You
Apex Underground is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Superintendent to lead our on-site operations across various underground utility projects. This role is critical to ensuring that our projects are completed on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards. As a Superintendent, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the Denver Metro area.
Your Regular Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site operations to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise foremen and crews involved in excavation, trenching, and installation of water, sewer, and other underground utilities.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment between field operations and project objectives.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe job site.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules and resources as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality in execution.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure their work meets Apex Underground's standards for quality and safety.
- Prepare daily reports on job progress, site conditions, equipment use, and manpower.
- Inspect completed work for compliance with standards and specifications, making adjustments as necessary to ensure the quality of the final product.
- Environmental Awareness: Take measures to minimize the environmental impact of operations, including proper handling of materials and maintaining clean work areas.
Your Team for Collaboration & Support
You will report directly to the COO Your team consists of experienced field crew members, equipment operators, and site foreman. You'll collaborate closely with the safety manager, field engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution and communication.

- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with client expectations.
- Maintain a safe job site with zero lost-time incidents and full compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, clients, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Effectively manage resources, ensuring optimal crew productivity and minimal equipment downtime.
Technical Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Foreman or similar role in underground utilities, heavy civil, or excavation projects.
- Proven knowledge of underground utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- OSHA 30 required.
- A valid driver license is required.
- Proficiency in construction management software and basic computer skills.
