The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a construction superintendent, with a strong background in managing ground-up and renovation projects in the New York area.Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities onsite.
- Supervise and direct subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including milestone deadlines and critical path activities, to ensure timely completion of work.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking costs, reviewing change orders, and controlling expenses to maximize profitability.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, quality control, and site management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 y6ears of experience as a construction superintendent, with a focus on ground-up and renovation projects in the New York area.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA certification and other relevant industry certifications preferred.
