Our customers include commercial and industrial corporations, institutions, community solar subscribers, municipalities, and electric utilities.To learn more about us, please visit: solarbankcorp.comAbout the OpportunitySolarbank Corp. has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Superintendent of Construction based in either Syracuse or Rochester, NY.This role oversees all aspects of construction for commercial, industrial, and municipal solar projects, reporting directly to the project management team, and is accountable for the timely and budget-conscious execution of projects.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Overseeing construction activitiesLeading field teams from planning to commercial operationsEnsuring subcontractors meet project scopes, budgets, and schedulesDriving project schedules and anticipating potential bottlenecksCoordinating with project managers, engineering, and procurement teams for seamless operationsExecuting quality control procedures to comply with all relevant codes and regulationsInspecting and commissioning new projectsCommunicating and escalating issues to drive project completionCoordinating project financing and subcontractor RFP processesMaintaining high standards of ethics, quality, and safetyTraveling for pre-construction site walks and construction buildoutsReading and following construction drawingsMore About YouTo qualify, you will need a strong background in solar engineering, construction, and/or operations and maintenance, and an electrical license or electrical contracting experience.A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in C&I solar construction, along with 5-7 years of experience managing third-party subcontractors, will also be essential.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with Project and Visio softwareStrong familiarity with solar construction and electrical codesAs our ideal candidate, you will possess leadership skills and clear oral and written communication skills that will make you succeed in this role, as well as a proactive and professional approach to project management that will make you a perfect culture fit.This is a key role in driving the construction of sustainable solar energy solutions, looking for a candidate who is committed to excellence and innovation in the renewable energy sector.About the BenefitsIn exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a competitive salary of $115,000 to $135,000, negotiable depending on experience, plus performance bonuses along with a great host of benefits, including:Health Insurance: fully covered by employerCell Phone Reimbursement: $75/monthMileage Reimbursement (if applicable): $0.40/km for any amount of kms travelledIf you are interested in progressing your career with a growing company, apply today!
