Job DetailsSUMMARY: The Superintendent of Electrical Engineering will be in charge of assisting the Director of Electrical Engineering and the Senior Director of Engineering in creating implementation plans, developing processes, managing the planning and installation of systems, and a variety of other tasks. This position will work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 TO WORK AT TRIUMPH FOODS. Triumph Foods only employs individuals who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 your application will not be considered. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for supervising 1-2 direct reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Assign work activity prior to shift; requires MP2 proficiency.
- Lead team of subordinates and delegating work functions to them.
- Provide training to new employees.
- Plan and organize work shifts for the timely completion of all electrical activities.
- Evaluate the work of subordinates.
- Organize job-training activities for all subordinates.
- Comply with all plant policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while conducting electrical processes.
- Must practice compliance with all state and federal food safety regulations.
- Maintain inventory and tools.
- Must have a record of exceptional attendance, conduct and safety.
- Must practice Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and plant policies.
- Weekend work is required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have at least a High School Diploma accompanied with a license or certification for electrical work. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an electrical setting is preferred, and experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus. KNOWLEDGE: Working understanding of electrical maintenance and engineering. Ability to comply with food safety and GMPs. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: A master electrician license is required if there is no possession of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Communicate effectively with USDA, OSHA, production, and management personnel. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations. Demonstrated ability to understand basic statistics for process control. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.
