Assistant Plant Manager/Superintendent

Summary
We are seeking a best in class Assistant Plant Manager/Superintendent to supervise and coordinates activities of associates in operating machinery to manufacture parts or products. Oversees the daily production of a plant or department. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You'll be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position.
* Manage and supervisor department/plant technical operations and resources
* Direct associates in adjusting machines and equipment to meet production schedules
* Analyzes and resolves work related problems or assist associates in solving work related problems
* Plans flow of materials throughout plant according to production schedules
* Interacts with other in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
* Ensures department and workplace safety in accordance with all Federal, State, Local and Acme Brick Company rules, policies and procedures
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Manages subordinate associates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a specific Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

* Bachelors Degree preferred.
