Working in all phases of the CRE lifecycle, Vestian is looking to add a Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to help oversee construction projects in the Tri-state area. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on delivering high-quality projects, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to join our team.
Job Summary: The Construction Superintendent / Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. This hybrid role involves managing day-to-day construction site activities and coordinating project management tasks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Review project documents to review constructability and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop project budgets and identify value engineering where necessary.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients on an ongoing basis for project success.
- Create and maintain overall project schedule and 3 week lookaheads as needed to successfully manage the project.
- Ensure necessary permits and inspections are obtained and planned as needed.
- Proactively manage all phases of construction to benefit the client above all else.
On-Site Supervision:
- Oversee daily construction site operations.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and enforce site safety regulations.
- Monitor work progress and quality control.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors as needed to ensure project success.
- Identify and proactively resolve issues onsite with required stakeholders.
Resource Management:
- Manage labor, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate deliveries and logistics.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
- Provide progress reports and updates.
- Address client concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Process RFI's, Submittals and other engineering activities for project success.
- Oversee project closeout including quality control, documentation and client vendor coordination.
- Maintain overall project schedule through all phases.
Financial Oversight:
- Track project expenses and manage budgets against baseline.
- Review and recommend for approval invoices and change orders.
- Ensure financial goals are met and cost savings are identified.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management and site supervision.
- Proven track record of managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in online construction management software and tools.
