Location: Texas City,TX, USA
* Compiles turnaround work lists from Refinery Inspection, Operations,
Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, Project Engineering, Technical Support,
Instrument and Electrical and Rotating Equipment Groups.
* Reviews all turnaround jobs in the field.
* Supervises supporting planner staff. Reviews and approves detailed job packages developed by supporting planners for relevant content, required information and alignment with environmental and safety procedures.
* Develops a step-by-step resource loaded work schedule in Primavera Project
Planner (P6) for all turnaround work.
* Produces work packages to issue to contractors including work lists, work
scopes, schedules, drawings, blind lists and material lists.
* Develops detailed turnaround cost estimates.
* Schedules turnaround meetings and distributes revised turnaround work lists.
* Determines and audits manpower levels for service contractors and Valero
maintenance crafts.
* Coordinates service contractors for both capital and maintenance turnaround
work.
* Procures materials for both capital and maintenance turnaround work.
* Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of items to be worked on by outside ships.
* Develops & submits turnaround AFE's (Authorization for Expenditure).
* Proficient and available to cover for Maintenance Superintendents (AFE & Routine) when needed.
* Tracks costs during turnarounds.
* Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems for all turnaround
information.
* Produces Indirect Plans to support the turnaround, including equipment rentals, supervision, support staffing and logistics plans.
* Develops event contingency plans to mitigate risks or exposures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 10 years of planning or maintenance experience in a refinery or chemical plant required.
* Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools required
* Experience reading engineering drawings, such as plot plans, piping isometrics, and P&IDs required.
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Texas City Refinery, required.
* Bachelor's or higher level degree - Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Supervisory experience preferred.
* Drafting and P6 experience preferred.
